  • Administrative Assistant

    Salary: $30,000 - 45,000/year
    Location: Vancouver, Canada
    Job Type: Full Time

    Are you the sort of person that keeps everyone on an itinerary? Do you use a planner? Or, do you like when things “run smoothly” but can bring them back on course when needed? If that sounds like you, you may be the perfect fit for AlgaeCal’s new Administrative Assistant position. As an Administrative Assistant, you must:

    1. Be eager to learn how processes work and be motivated to fix them when they don’t.
    2. Be someone with passion and drive, who can ensure that our high quality standards are maintained.

    If you have what it takes, you’ll join a team of passionate, “work-hard, play-hard” professionals and a company that has laid a multi-million dollar foundation of revolutionary natural health products backed by our own clinical studies. They’re the only products of their kind proven to dramatically and measurably improve human health.

    More About this Role

    The beauty of this position is that your work will vary. You may perform step-by-step testing for our marketing campaigns one day, and mirror orders and website checkout the next. You’ll be executing plans, documenting issues and conducting daily maintenance and monitoring of our systems and applications.

    • Fax, scan and copy documents.
    • Complete and mail bills, contracts, policies, invoices and checks.
    • Process electronically-uploaded data, enter documents with precision and accuracy, and research and resolve discrepancies.
    • Light accounting duties.
    • Monitor and maintain office supply inventory.
    • Create, edit, and update spreadsheets.
    • Prepare packages and coordinate courier service.
    • Retrieve information when requested.
    • Complete work-related errands as requested, such as going to the post office and bank.
    • Keep office area clean and tidy.
    • The ability to put yourself in the mind of our user (this is critical!)
    • Highly analytical with seasoned problem-solving skills
    • Desktop, mobile and tablet experience. You are proficient and can work seamlessly across all platforms. (Effective and efficient use of computer typing of at least 50 WPM)
    • Experience with software and troubleshooting. Knowledge of Google Drive applications such as Google Sheets and Google Docs.
    • Attention to detail!
    • The desire to contribute. Provide recommendations for potential areas that need improvement.
    • Ability to communicate and work well with teammates.
    • Honest, RELIABLE, and loyal (doing exactly what you say you will)
    • Digital marketing knowledge / experience is an asset
