I’m here to talk a little bit about AlgaeCal and tell you my experience. A year ago, in April 2019 I sat in a chair in my son’s apartment, because my right hand was broken and my left arm was broken. I was fragile, and I couldn’t get out of the chair. So I couldn’t even lift myself. And I started deciding that I really needed some help. And I found the ads for AlgaeCal. I’m a statistician by training, so I looked up all the clinical studies. I studied them and studied them and they really looked good. They looked good. It looked like there was a real chance I could do something to improve my bone health. And after having multiple fractions I needed some help really desperately. So I started the AlgaeCal regimen. I took the 4 AlgaeCal Plus and the 2 Strontium Boost every day and took them for a little over a year. So I took them from the middle of April 2019 until August 2020, when I went for my repeat dexa scan. I was so scared to get the results for fear there wasn’t a change, but when I did, I was jubilant. The part that showed the biggest improvement was the lumbars, the spine area. There was actually a 15.8% increase in my bone density. My T-score went from -2.5 to -1.5 all of the other measurements also showed an improvement. So after a little over a year, I had an improvement in every measured part on my dexa scan. I am thrilled. And even though AlgaeCal is not an inexpensive product, it is so worth it. Let me tell you when you have fractions, that’s a pretty expensive product too. So I am thrilled with the AlgaeCal. So when I was in my late sixties, I was not surprised to find out my bone loss was getting to the point where I was at higher risk for bone fractures. So that was about six years ago. I was having tendon issues, it was almost like I couldn’t jog anymore, my knee started bothering, my ankle, but I was nervous about not doing anything. And of course, I’m a registered nurse, so I study things before I do them. And in the course of my study, I found out I was probably taking too much calcium, and I also found AlgaeCal, which I was a little bit skeptical, but I decided, well, it’s better than not doing anything. So, 13 months ago I started taking it faithfully three times a day. I just had a DEXA scan a few weeks ago, when I was thrilled to find out that instead of staying the same or getting worse, my bones are getting better. The risk of fracture has gone down. My T-scores have gone up. I was really pleased. On the part of the results that is a clinical indication, I have gone from post-menopausal with history of little bones to post-menopausal only. I am so happy. I couldn’t be happier. I have had improvement and increases in the different areas each time I’ve had a scan. I intend to keep taking AlgaeCal. It had been treated but the condition leaves one predisposed to bone loss. I also have a family history predisposing me to bone loss. It was because of this that my doctor recommended that I do regular, every two year follow ups with bone scans, that I increase calcium intake in my diet and increase the amount of calcium plus D supplementation to high-dose levels. In addition to this, I’ve always had a commitment to exercise activities like hiking, biking, walking, aerobic fitness classes and resistance training. Despite all these measures, my every two-year DEXA scans indicated that what I was doing just wasn’t enough to stop ongoing bone loss. Each subsequent one seemed to further decline and in 2018, my results were rather alarming. My lumbar’s T-score was down to a -2.7 and my hip score was a -1.5. After viewing the AlgaeCal site and hearing the positive results others were having with the products, I decided to give them a try. And so, for the past two years I’ve been taking the recommended dosing, the AlgaeCal Plus and the Strontium Boost. When I had my recent DEXA scan about a month ago and the results came back, I was just completely overjoyed with the results. The numbers exceeded my expectations. My lumbar T-score had improved by 14% and my hip score had a 3.6% improvement. Well, I’m 83 coming up soon. And when I celebrated my 80th birthday, it was a big celebration, but I realized that there was something going on with my health that wasn’t good, and not worth celebrating, and that was my loss of bone.
