In the middle of August, I tried to lift a very heavy bed I was conscious how to lift it, the proper way, using your legs, not your back but when I couldn’t lift it, I tried again very hard and felt this searing pain shoot across from one side to the other on my back. It knocked me to my knees, and I knew I had done something seriously wrong. Upon x-ray, I discovered I had compression fracture and reging in the T-12 I was really surprised and but what surprised me more was that the doctor wanted me to go for a DEXA scan I had never had one and I seriously felt like if I had poor bone health, I would be shattered by now with all the falls and accidents that I’d had. I joked with the doctor like that and actually when I went for my DEXA scan, I joked with the technician, telling him I’m sure I’d be shattered by now if I really truly had thin bones. Much to my dismay, and fear when I got my results back, my scores were very bad. I had in the L-1 to L-4, I was -4.6, In the femoral neck of my… was -3 and my total hip -2.9 I was shocked. I really was shocked. When we came home from that scan and got the results from it my husband and I immediately started searching for something natural. We made it a matter of prayer. My husband searched online and when he found AlgaeCal we looked at it, researched it, I talked to the people, and we decided this was our best decision to try the AlgaeCal. I’m also retired United Methodist Pastor. I have been pretty healthy all my life and no real problems, but when I was 60 my doctor asked me if I’d had a bone density scan, which I had not. So I had a x-ray done or the scan done. And while I was there, the technician, let me look at it. And it did look like Swiss cheese on my spine. I went back to my family doctor and she says, can we start treating you? So I did go to a specialist for a few years and he told me that my scan looked like if I turned over a bed, my back would break. I don’t know, I trust God to have my back. So one day I was looking through Facebook and I saw AlgaeCal advertised on Facebook and I researched it. My husband, who was an ER physician also researched it. Then I took the information to my family doctor and she did some study on the different derivatives of it. And since she felt like it was a good thing to try, we went on the AlgaeCal, Strontium, and a year and a half later I did a bone scan and low and behold, my back is better. I can’t say what is related to, but I do know that I had not grown bone before. And I’m very thankful that I have. I’ve also been taken vitamin D and calcium along with everything.
