    Calcium supplements may be great, but only if the supplements don’t lead to high levels of calcium circulating in the blood, in which case they are bad news, especially in a person already eating a calcium rich diet. On stopping the calcium supplements, the blood levels then return to normal. As someone experiencing bone loss, I find that calcium supplements are not a good idea, and instead concentrate on a healthy diet and taking weight bearing exercise keeps my condition in balance
