I was told I have 85% bone loss in my back. I eat right, I excercise, I drink milk, I’ve always taken calcium. I weigh 120 lbs. I’m 5 ft. 3″ y’all. I am very upset about this. They want me to take an injection twice a yr. I don’t want to take it. I don’t know what to do.

    Hi Jacquelyn,

It sounds like your story has some similarities with Ida’s. And as with Ida, taking regular calcium will not increase your bone density. Studies have only ever shown that it will help slow down bone loss. AlgaeCal Plus and Strontium Boost on the other hand is more than just calcium (there’s magnesium, vitamin D, vitamin K2, boron, trace minerals) and has been supported with studies to increase your bone density. You can view these studies here: https://www.algaecal.com/research/clinical-studies/

My bone density went from -.4.9 to. Back to normal range (spine) after taking Algaecal. My doctor said something was wrong with the scan, that I could not grow new bone. I do not care what he thinks I care about the results.

    Wow, Janet!

That is fantastic news – so happy for you :). It IS possible to go from low bone density back to normal range. You and so many others are proving that.

    Congrats again,

Very hard to believe especially claims on the Internet. Is it just the calcium of is it the combination of the SB with it? I take Algae Calcium Bone Formuala from Vitamin Shoppe and it has almost exactly the same components as your formula. I would be curious to know what else has changed? Exercise, diet, any other supplements or medications being taken?

    Hi Stacy,

Definitely understand! In addition to her testimonial you can see Ida’s before and after DXA scans, something you cannot just ‘claim’. Everything we say is backed the latest and most up-to-date science and referenced at the bottom of each post (as was with Ida’s scans). If you would like to see the research on AlgaeCal Plus and Strontium Boost – we have one with the combination of AlgaeCal Plus and Strontium Boost, plus AlgaeCal Plus alone. AlgaeCal is the only calcium supplement supported to increase bone density. You can view the research here: https://www.algaecal.com/research/clinical-studies/

The product you mention has a daily dose of half the amount of AlgaeCal’s. Also, AlgaeCal is the only calcium supplement to be backed by peer-reviewed and published research proving increases in bone density. No other calcium can claim this. I think it’s important to note that just because a product seems similar, that does not mean you will get the same results. Not all supplements are created equal. Fortunately here at AlgaeCal, we guarantee results.

And of course, exercise, diet and lifestyle are all important factors for bone health. We discuss the importance of all aspects of bone health on the blog if you would like to view more articles: https://blog.algaecal.com

If you would like to see the additional testimonials from customers who have increased their bone density, you can do so here: https://blog.algaecal.com/success-stories/

Did Ida take the strontium too? Can she comment on how strictly she adhered to the recommended daily dosages of both products? So many pills to swallow, in addition to everything else I take!

Yes, if you read Ida’s story above she says she took both AlgaeCal Plus and Strontium Boost for three years. As to how compliant she was while taking them during those years, I can’t speak on her behalf. But when following a bone health regimen, it’s of course important to take as directed.

And I definitely understand about the amount of pills in addition to everything else! Not ideal. But Strontium is only 2 capsules daily and if you want, you can pull apart the AlgaeCal Plus capsules and put them into smoothies, juices etc. Although we don’t recommend water because of the naturally occurring minerals.

    Hi Karen,

Yes, you can take AlgaeCal Plus with your medication, although we recommend taking them at separate times to avoid any interaction. Check with your health specialist to make sure as they know your full health history and what you are taking.
