1. When was the new shopping cart launched?

The new shopping cart launched on June 26, 2014 from our previous shopping cart store.algaecal.com.

2. What are the new features of this shopping cart and why switch?

  • Capability to create more offers/promotions with coupons,discounts etc…
  • Simpler ordering process (less steps to place an order)
  • Set up subscriptions(autoship) for re-ordering with discounts
  • Easier login capabilities
  • Saves credit card information for easy/quick re-ordering

3. Do I need to create a new account? If I had one in the previous cart.

No, but it’s recommended to create a new account at https://www.algaecal.com/my-account/ and place orders with your account. This allows all your orders to be recorded in one account for viewing history and to save your information for quicker reordering. Alternatively, you can place an order as a guest. We could not transfer information from the old cart store.algaecal.com to the new cart, but we keep an internal database with all of that information and don’t hesitate to contact us for it.

4. I accidentally created multiple accounts. Is it possible to merge them?

Yes, please contact our customer support team and we will merge your order history into one account for you.

5. What is my password? How do I retrieve it?

You can recover your password by entering your email at  https://www.algaecal.com/my-account/lost-password/. Afterwards, You will receive a link to create a new password via email.

6. Why can’t I view my orders from the previous cart?

We could not transfer information from the old cart (store.algaecal.com) to the new cart, but we keep an internal database with all of that information.

7. How do I redeem my Rewards Points/Gift Certificate from the old Cart?

Any order placed after April 10, 2014 at 10:00pm (PST) will no longer receive points.
You will be able to redeem any remaining points or gift certificates in your account within a 12 month period (until April 10, 2015). The one-time redemption value of your points are as follows:

  • 10 points = $1 off your purchase
  • 50 points = $5 off your purchase
  • 100 points = $10 off your purchase etc.

Contact AlgaeCal Customer Service toll free 1-800-820-0184 or email support@algaecal.com to redeem your points/Gift Certificate with your new order after April 10, 2014.

Yes, we have HTTPS secure pages and SSL Certificates installed on my account page and checkout page. Our entire website is also monitored with sucuri web security services.

9. Is it possible to save my credit card for reordering?

Going forward, we will automatically save your credit card details on file, securely, in our new shopping cart system. Many of you have asked us for this feature so you don’t have to continually input your payment details. (If for some reason you’d prefer we do not keep your card on file, you can simply checkout without creating an account and buy as a guest.)
