Boron, a semi metal, (meaning it has similarities with metals and non-metals) that is #5 on the periodic table, is not a well known star mineral, but still plays a crucial supporting role in maintaining optimal health.

A study done in 2010 at the University of Medical Sciences in Iran found that boron increases male testosterone in as little as 7 days. (4)
