The marketing and operations team in the AlgaeCal office went on a day long fishing trip to HorseShoe Bay this past weekend.
I was hoping they would catch a boat load of fish and share them with the rest of the AlgaeCal office….but they weren’t as lucky as I had hoped.
In fact, their total fish count: 1.
Kyle was able to catch this beautiful, cool looking fish, but unfortunately it was a rockfish and they are overfished in B.C. waters at the moment, meaning he had to put it back.
They were successful with their crab and prawn traps, though.
And after talking to Adam it was clear that his favourite moment was, “when we pulled up the crab and shrimp traps” and found that it was more than full with crab, prawns, and langostinos.
I’m guessing they were pretty relieved to see their nets full after striking out in the fish department.
All in all, I’d say that the team had a successful first fishing trip.
They’re planning to go fishing again soon in the hopes to catch some sockeye salmon.
Feel free to send them some positive vibes for their next trip!
